Mise en place. Lay out parchment paper on the counter.
Melt the blue candy melts in the microwave for 30 seconds at 50% power. Stir, even if nothing is melted. Continue to heat for 30 second (50% power) intervals, stirring between each heating cycle, until candy melts are melted.
Dip pretzel in blue candy melts. Shake well to discard excess chocolate. Set pretzel on parchment paper. Generously sprinkle with sanding sugar. Repeat with more pretzels.

Allow candy melts to harden completely before moving pretzels.
Notes
I experimented with every color combination of sanding sugar and colored candy melts. I would recommend sticking with blue on blue, red on red, and white on white. Those turned out the best. But feel free to mix it up!
