Bacon Wrapped Smokies (aka: Crack Weenies)

These delicious appetizers are easy to make and will get rave reviews. Oven baked.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Cut bacon into thirds. Pre-heat over to 400°.
  • Wrap each sausage in one piece (1/3 a slice) of bacon. (Recommend only having a small bit of bacon out of fridge at a time; easiest to work with when cold). Stab with toothpick to hold bacon on sausage.
  • Place on foil-lined jelly-roll pan. Place close together.
  • After pan is filled, sprinkle brown sugar over sausages.
  • Bake 20-25 minutes until bacon done. Serve immediately or place in crock-pot on warm.

Notes

Alternative: Melt one stick of butter, mix with brown sugar and then pour over sausages. Bake as normal.
